WHAT THE BEAUTY BLOGGERS USE: FEATURING CHARLOTTE CHO OF SOKOGLAM

CharlotteCho

We write, we curate, we cull the herd, we try it all, we pare it down, we’re always searching for the standout stars. Do you ever wonders what the bloggers themselves are using? I’ve rounded up my favourite ladies in the game and asked them about their personal line-ups and thoughts on skincare!

Today I’m featuring Charlotte Cho, the brains (and absolute beauty!) behind Soko Glam. The write up on Soko Glam says it all:
Soko Glam is dedicated to discovering Korean cosmetics & beauty trends. With our thoughtfully curated selection from the most innovative and trusted brands, we invite you to explore Korea’s best in beauty.”

PERIPERA CUSHION BLUSHER REVIEW

periperacushionblusher

As Shelby from Steel Magnolias said when discussing her wedding: “My colours are blush and bashful”.
Well, I got married in a courthouse in New York City (the exact same place as Liz Lemon!), ate BonChon Korean fried chicken afterward, then passed out drunk off soju that night, so I didn’t exactly have a traditional wedding with colours. But we are talking about blush today, so that intro wasn’t apropos of nothing.  I have just about every shade of blush imaginable so it takes a lot for me to justify buying a new one. VDL EXPERT COLOR LIP CUBE MOISTURE REVIEW

VDL

VDL Expert Color Lip Cube Moisture SPF10 is one of those products that I just knew I’d love before I even received it. Those of us buying skincare and cosmetics from Korea while in another country might know what I’m talking about. Wait, that sounds way too much like an old creeper describing his mail order bride, but my point still stands!

The standout cube shape of this lipstick is what first called my name, then the knockout shades available is what pushed my fingers to click Add To Cart without hesitation. The novelty of a square lipstick was something I wasn’t entirely sure about, but I knew I wanted to give it a shot. It fit in perfectly with my obsession over geometric shapes so of course I was coming for this beauty.

While I was waiting for my impulse purchase lipstick to arrive I started researching it like crazy. I found this video featuring the most adorable girl demonstrating it in the exact shade I had decided to get, #105 Pink Positive, a gorgeous red heavy hot pink. It starts at about 1:20
